As part of the CRAFT extra mural activities, Craft for Qhayiyha learners was offered from the second term. Again THANKS to the National Lotto Fund.
The intention being to offer craft skills and an introduction to business skills to learners that struggle academically and have a creative bent.
Learners were introduced to wire and bead work, wood work (drilling and sawing) and mosaic.
During Term 3, learner crafters were introduced to business skills and Vanessa Alberts of SEED SA and WORK IT held various training sessions on Friday afternoons in the Enlighten Centre computer room. The learners were thrilled to be able to learn somne basic computer skills and they loved working on the Internet.
